Lola x Daphne is a collection of dog-friendly city guides built around real places we actually go.
Most “dog-friendly” lists aren’t that helpful—they’re either outdated or include places that technically allow dogs but aren’t easy or enjoyable to visit. This is meant to be different.
Each guide is structured as a simple plan—coffee, a walk, and places to eat or grab a drink—so you can actually go out without having to figure everything out yourself.
All recommendations are based on firsthand experience and focus on places that are genuinely comfortable with dogs, not just tolerant of them.
Why we started this
Lola x Daphne started for practical reasons, but it’s also personal.
In 2018, my husband had a stroke. After that, daily life looked very different—especially socially. Getting out of the house became harder, and a lot of the routines that once felt easy didn’t anymore.
When we got Lola, that started to change. She needed to be walked, and over time she became a reason to get back out into the world. What started as something small turned into something much bigger.
She made it easier to reconnect with people, to explore again, and to build new routines.
This site is an extension of that. It’s meant to make it easier to find places where you can go with your dog and actually enjoy it—because those experiences can matter more than you expect.
